Description
could someone please write a driver for this chipset? (f.e. ASUS WL-167G V3)

There's no reason not to use the in-kernel driver if there is one. However, I'm not one who would be able to do any actual work on this, and a lack of hardware to test with is a more basic issue yet to overcome. rtl8192 isn't a really popular chipset anywhere, so I wouldn't hold your breath for any significant or fast movement on this ticket.
