Would be nice if you could stay hidden by changing your MAC address if you feel you are "vulnerable".

I was thinking that...
Can we get the sources to SpoofMAC?

No need. There is that. However, it would be easier if we could get pre-written code.

what about a feature that could automatically change the MAC address every x amount of time. Also have kismac auto ignore out your spoofs so that it wouldn't clog the screen. the ignore would only last till the next MAC spoof therefore you would still be able to spot an AP/probe that just happens to use one of the MAC addresses you already spoofed. not sure how good this would be however would make it more difficult to be "tracked"

do you guys know /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks?/Apple80211.framework/Resources/airport? you can change your ap extreme mac easily with that.... the spoofmac code was pretty boring. and it died in a harddrive crash. it also works only with patched prism2 cards...

could we incorporate code for novices to change their MAC address inside of kismac easily though?

Yeah, I know about that. However, I haven't got it to work (and neither have people at macosxhints). It appears to be broken on Tiger it seems, and on Panther, it had the same problem that the suspekt.org method had - it leaked the original MAC for DHCP requests...

Huh? I don't think we're talking about the same SpoofMAC here. I mean this SpoofMAC: http://smat.name/en/spoofmac/
However, there is an open-source app that does the same: http://aspoof.sourceforge.net/, which would be easy, and the instructions to do it manually here: http://www.suspekt.org/airport-static.html. If we took APSpoof and put it inside KisMAC - launch it from a menu perhaps? Make an AirPort Extreme prefpane with the "Permanently load Driver", and "Use this MAC address"? Shouldn't be too hard.

- Status changed from new to closed
- Resolution set to wontfix
Again, I don't see how having this inside KisMAC is useful. If you are passive scanning, your mac doesn't matter, and when you are injecting, you spoof the mac anyway.

what I use
my revision of AirPortClown? which works under 10.6.2 on my MBP 2.53 its all based off of a script but in a nice gui. its all free and took me forever to find.
