It is a USB device with an externally attached antenna. This device also comes with a wall mount. The mount can be used with velcro and would be ideal for a dash, roof, etc in a car or anywhere you like. This device is no longer in production but is not hard to find at an online store.

It also has an antenna socket on it that actually does something, unlike that of the MA111, and if it is opened up, the antenna can be unscrewed and replaced. Check out the second picture provided below to see the connector inside the unit (sorry for the blurry photo). The connector type is MMCX (not MC-Card or MCX). Without an antenna the unit is useless.
